This form enables APS members to nominate for positions to be elected at the Annual General Meeting on December 15 at 2:00pm, as well as to express interest in officer positions that are appointed following the AGM. The information collected ensures nominees meet eligibility requirements and clearly indicate which category of roles they wish to be considered for. By submitting this form, you acknowledge the responsibilities associated with the roles selected and confirm that all information provided is accurate and complete.

SECTION A: POSITION SELECTION

Please select positions from only one category (Appointed or Elected). If you wish to nominate for an elected position at the AGM, choose from the Elected Positions list. If you wish to be considered for appointed officer roles, select only from the Appointed Positions list.

Selecting roles from both categories will invalidate your nomination.

Appointed Positions

Select any officer positions you wish to express interest in. These positions are appointed after the AGM and are not part of the election process. An honorarium of up to $2,000 may be offered throughout the year as recognition of contribution and effectiveness. It is not payment for labour and does not create an employment relationship.

Elected Positions

These positions form the governing leadership of APS and are elected by members at the AGM. They carry stricter eligibility requirements consistent with the Associations Incorporation Act (Qld) and APS governance standards. With the exception of general board member roles, elected office-bearers are expected to contribute a minimum of 20 hours per week to fulfil their responsibilities. Failure to meet this expectation may result in action under APS Rules, including potential removal from the position.
