ACADEMIC EDITING

APS offers a free academic editing service for Higher Degree by Research (HDR) students. Whether you're polishing a thesis chapter or preparing a paper, we’re here to help improve your writing. Our external editors will check your document for grammar, clarity, structure, and style.

You can submit up to 6,000 words once per calendar year. Just upload a Word document with standard formatting (12pt font, 1.5 or double spacing, margins) and a cover page with your name and student number. We suggest submitting early to allow enough time for editing—last-minute requests might not be possible.

You’ll receive tracked changes and comments to help you polish your work. To access the service, you need to be an APS member - just sign up and submit your document through the form on our website.
