The School of Biomedical Sciences Student and Academic Society (SBMS SASS) brings together students within the biomedical sciences community at UQ through academic, professional, and social initiatives. The society aims to create a supportive and connected environment for students across all stages of their studies, while helping members engage more closely with the School of Biomedical Sciences and the broader health and research sector.
SBMS SASS provides opportunities for students to build academic confidence, develop professional skills, and connect with peers, staff, researchers, and industry professionals. Through workshops, networking events, mentoring opportunities, and student-led activities, the society supports both personal and professional development throughout the university experience.
Alongside academic engagement, SBMS SASS places a strong focus on student wellbeing and community.
