See You Semester 1, 2026!
Every semester, APS helps welcome postgrads to UQ with a week full of events, activities, and ways to get involved.
Whether you’re just starting out or returning for another semester, O-Week is the perfect way to meet new people, find your community, and get to know the campus. As the representative body for postgraduate students at The University of Queensland, APS is here to make your time at UQ more connected, supported, and fun.
What you can expect in O-Week
- Meet people fast: mixers, socials, and low-pressure ways to say hi.
- Get your bearings: campus info, practical tips, and “what do I actually need to know?” answers.
- Find your thing: clubs, volunteering, programmes, and communities that match your vibe.
- Support that exists in real life.
Who it’s for
- New postgrads (coursework or HDR)
- Returning students who want a fresh start
- Anyone who’d like UQ to feel less like a giant labyrinth
