Every semester APS welcomes postgraduate students to UQ with a week of events activities and opportunities to get involved.
Whether you’re new to UQ or returning for another semester O-Week is a great chance to meet other postgrads make new friends and settle into campus life. As the representative body for UQ postgraduate students APS is here to help you connect with others access support and make the most of your time at university.
What to Expect During O-Week
O-Week is designed to help you settle into life at UQ and start the semester with confidence. Throughout the week you can:
- Meet other postgraduate students through social events and networking activities.
- Explore the St Lucia and Gatton campuses and discover the services available to you.
- Learn about APS, student clubs, volunteering opportunities, leadership programmes, and ways to get involved.
- Find out about the support available for postgraduate students including advocacy, wellbeing, financial assistance, and academic support.
- Enjoy free activities, food, entertainment, and giveaways while building new connections.
Who Should Attend?
O-Week is for every postgraduate student, including:
- New coursework and HDR students.
- International and domestic students.
- Returning students looking to reconnect with the postgraduate community.
- Students studying full-time or part-time.
