Bursary Application rounds
- Round 1: 1 Jan – 28 Feb
- Round 2: 1 Mar – 31 Mar
- Round 3: 1 Apr – 30 Apr
- Round 4: 1 Jul – 31 Aug
Submit your application within the relevant dates to be considered for that round. Outcomes are finalised on 1 March, 1 April, 1 May, and 1 September. If you don’t receive an outcome by the relevant finalisation date, your application should be considered unsuccessful.
Eligibility Criteria
- Open to UQ postgraduate students seeking to enhance their education and career development.
- Equitable allocation between Higher Degree by Research (HDR) and Coursework students.
- Must submit supporting documentation; incomplete applications without adequate evidence will not be considered.
- Applicants cannot have received a postgraduate bursary in the same calendar year.
- Acknowledge the Application Agreement, Consent Statement & Review Panel Terms of Reference
Bursary applications are currently closed and will reopen in Semester 2. In 2026 so far, APS has already distributed over $47,500 in bursaries to support postgraduate students. We look forward to continuing this support when applications reopen.
