One of my aspirations is to collaborate, to connect, and to facilitate all students at UQ Gatton regardless their nationalities, sex, religions/beliefs; in a supported environment without anyone feeling left behind or unnoticed. I have joined Indonesian student community at Gatton campus as a secretary which I responsible for managing, connecting the executives with members so their presence or voices can be accommodate for the benefits of all. That is the one thing that I want to do as an APS Gatton Officer.

| As a Master of Public Health student at UQ, I want to contribute to a more supportive and connected postgraduate community. Studying while balancing work has given me a good understanding of the challenges many students face, including academic pressure, financial responsibilities, and adjusting to university life. I enjoy working with people, listening to different perspectives, and helping others where I can. Through this role, I hope to represent students’ voices, support initiatives that improve wellbeing and engagement, and help create an inclusive environment where every postgraduate student feels welcomed, valued, and supported. I believe my communication skills, commitment, and willingness to serve will allow me to make a positive contribution . |

Having been an active member of the UQ postgraduate community, participating in numerous UQ APS events, and contributing over 20 hours of volunteering, I have seen firsthand the incredible impact the association has on student life. I believe the officer role will give me a transition from an active supporter to a leader, helping and contributing to the society support inclusive postgraduate experiences which made me feel belonged in a completely new nation, away from home.
My academic background as a postgraduate Biotechnology student, combined with my experience serving as President of a student society in my Bachelors, has equipped me with strong organisational and event management skills. I am adept at coordinating diverse groups, managing logistics, and advocating for student needs. As a UQ APS Officer, I aim to leverage this leadership experience to deliver high-impact events, strengthen peer support networks, and ensure every postgraduate student feels represented and valued.

APS has played a big part in making me feel welcomed and connected at UQ. As an international student, that sense of community has meant a lot to me, especially as this is my first time living away from home. I would love the chance to give back.
I have been volunteering with APS at different events throughout the semester, and they have honestly been some of the highlights of my time at UQ so far. I have seen how much effort goes into creating spaces where postgrad students feel included and supported, and I would be excited to contribute more actively to that.
