Library Lockers for Postgraduates

The University of Queensland Library provides secure lockers for postgraduate students. These lockers are offered on a semester basis, free of charge. Lockers are a convenient way to reduce what you need to carry between home, class, and your study space. They are especially useful for students who spend long days on campus or use multiple libraries.

Locations

St Lucia Campus

• Central Library — Levels 1, 3 and 4
  Conveniently located near postgraduate study areas and group rooms.

• Biological Sciences Library — Level 4
  Close to study desks and computer labs, suitable for students based in the science precinct.

• Duhig Tower — Level 4
  Near the Postgraduate Study Centre and other research support facilities.

Gatton Campus

• JK Murray Library — Level 1
  Provides easy access for postgraduate students based at the Gatton campus.

 

Locker Access and Allocation

• Availability: Lockers are available from the start of each semester and are reallocated at the end of the semester.

• How to Apply:
  Applications can be made directly through the the UQ Library

• Key Collection:

  • St Lucia: Collect and return keys at the Central Library Level 1 Service Desk.

  • Gatton: Collect and return keys at the JK Murray Library Level 2 Service Desk.

• Conditions of Use:

  • One locker per student per semester.

  • Lockers must be emptied before the end of the semester or items may be removed.

  • Only non-perishable items may be stored.

  • Lockers are for study-related and personal use only.

 

Additional Information

 Students are encouraged to apply early each semester, as locker numbers are limited and in high demand, particularly within Central Library and Duhig Tower postgraduate areas.
